This pillow is awesome. It weighs only 198 grams (small size) and when unpacked it measures 30 x 41 x 14 cm (Length x Width x Height). It’s filled with leftover foam scraps (small chunks) from the fabrication of the Thermarest mattress pads and the covering is made of a really soft microfiber type material. It also easily rolls into a pocket at one end, compressing to about 1/4 of its uncompressed size. It’s not very expensive either at $14.50 @ MEC.
The really great thing about this pillow is that the foam actually comfortably supports your head and doesn’t just let your head sink to the ground like other compressible pillows. The microfiber cloth is also a nice touch and doesn’t rub or burn your tired face. After using this pillow on multiple, multi-day treks, I can honestly say that it made for a comfortable night’s sleep. It’s small size and weight make it a no-brainer for any situation.
